In addition to a wide range of information for the general public, the website includes specific sections for Indigenous communities and media professionals. Queensland’s forensic mental health system is complex and can be a challenge to understand. The aim of this website is to create a better understanding and increase awareness of the system and how it operates. In Queensland, the forensic mental health system refers to both the health and justice system which respond to people with a mental illness who have been charged with an offence.
